The novel "The Metamorphosis" by Franz Kafka built the base for an editorial design for a bilingual paperback (German/English). I held apart the two languages by combining a sans serif for the English version with a serif font for the German part. The separation is horizontal and the optical contrast as the result of the different type colors of the typefaces helps to distinguish between both languages.
